This year’s program will be offered in a NEW format! 
Didactic content will be provided to every registrant 2 weeks in advance of the Mid-Year Training Course. Onsite Program will be 100% focused on panel discussion, case review, and specific response to your lingering questions, so pre-review of the didactic content will be critical to your learning experience. 

This course is designed for Physicians, Chiropractors, and Psychologists/Psychiatrists. Also welcome are Case Managers, Claims Representatives, Allied Health Professionals including Physical Therapists, Occupational Health Nurses, and Legal, Insurance, or Risk Management Professionals who can gain valuable insight into the medicolegal evaluation process.

Objectives and Accreditation Statement


OBJECTIVES

In completing this course, the attendee will:

  • Learn the skills necessary for successful evidence-based medicolegal evaluation
  • Learn and apply proven medicolegal practice management techniques
  • Learn to properly apply impairment rating systems in the administrative environment
  • Learn methods, procedures and skills for proper evaluation of impairment
  • Learn and apply proper use of the AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment (4th, 5th or 6th Edition)
  • Learn how to successfully report and communicate medicolegal concepts to non-medical and medical stakeholders
  • Be able to change practice pattern to improve outcomes
  • Gain partial educational credit toward IAIME Fellowship

ACCREDITATION STATEMENT

The International Academy of Independent Medical Evaluators (IAIME) designates this educational activity for a maximum of 25.50 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate to the extent of their participation in the activity. 

The International Academy of Independent Medical Evaluators is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
